Moira Leigh MacLeod was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and currently lives near the ocean outside of Halifax. Her debut novel, The Bread Maker, was published in October of 2016 and lauded by readers and critics alike for its strong character development and rich dialogue. Besides her five novels, MacLeod has written numerous speeches and several narratives for historic celebrations, including Gordon Pinsent’s script for the 100th anniversary commemorating the sinking of the Titanic.
